Produced by the same company that produced 1Click DVD Copy 5, 1Click DVD Copy Pro is an excellent piece of DVD copy software. Through our review process, we have ranked this particular DVD copy software in second place, behind the more standard 1Click DVD Copy 5. It contains a feature set that is mostly identical to that found in 1Click DVD Copy 5. Everything that makes the standard version great, you will find in this professional version. In addition, however, there are also several innovative new features that will give those who have experience with copying DVD material much greater control over the copying process.
Some users are extremely meticulous when it comes to the copying process, and they wish to maintain as much control over the process as possible. These users are able to control the exact size of the copy, video quality and compression, audio quality and compression, and many other variables that regular users probably do not even know about. It is for this reason that the Pro version of the 1Click DVD Copy software has been ranked below the standard version. Most users would be much more interested in the standard version, as they would have difficulty dealing with the many variables and options offered in the professional version. In terms of quality of the software build and features and options offered, however, the professional version clearly wins when compared to the standard version.
The program itself is very stable when running. This means that it doesn't crash easily, unlike some programs that will constantly show errors and shut themselves down. This is also evident when you attempt to copy an encrypted DVD without a decryption program running at the same time. Many other DVD copy programs would simply present an error message and shut down of their own accord, or worse, they might cause your system to hang. This can be very frustrating, as once a program hangs you generally have to restart your entire computer to rectify the problem.
1Click DVD Copy Pro is also extremely fast when copying and burning DVDs, performing much faster than other competing DVD copy programs. This makes any project that involves copying or burning DVDs quick and efficient, saving time for other, more important, tasks. The software is also simple and easy-to-use. Options and controls are intuitive and easy to locate. Optional settings aside, the program is true to its name, and really only requires a single click for you to copy and burn the DVD of your choice. Of course, with the Pro edition of the software, you will probably be clicking more than once, as you change and tweak the myriad settings to your satisfaction.
The features built into the software are excellent, with such desirable features as the new CPRx copy protection removal correction facility, top-of-the-line video compression, support for episodes, CSS Decryption integration, and Dual Layer support. Of course these are but some of the features included in the software, and there are many more that are not mentioned here.
Customer service is generally excellent, with customer service representatives sometimes replying to questions within minutes. Service is excellent and quick, and questions are answered clearly and to the customer's satisfaction. There have been several customers who have expressed annoyance because customer service proved ineffectual at helping them with malfunctioning software, however. In general, however, there are no complaints regarding the support provided with 1Click DVD Copy Pro.
The one problem that you might find with 1Click DVD Copy Pro is its higher price. It is available for purchase online at $79 USD, a price that some people may find prohibitive for DVD Copy software. While you only pay an additional $20 USD for the extra features that the professional version has over the standard version, many consumers who are willing to spend $59 USD on the standard version may be reluctant to purchase the professional version.
All in all, if you are comfortable with leaving the compression and other detailed settings to the presets included in the standard version of this software, then you are better off spending less and purchasing 1Click DVD Copy 5. If, however, you would like to have control over the audio and video compression, amount of content copied, and other similar aspects of the copying and burning process, then would most likely appreciate the excellent suite of tools and features to be found in 1Click DVD Copy Pro. |
